Ingredients

- 1 onion diced
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 2/3 c. milk
- seasoning (salt, pepper, thyme)
Steps
------------------
1. Saute onions in butter until tender, about 5 minutes.
2. Add flour and seasoning. Cook for 2 more minutes
3. Whisk in chicken broth and milk a little at a time. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then let simmer for 1 minute
4. Proceed to use as filling for pot pie, tetrazzini, or as a gravy

- You can also saute other vegetables in step one. If using tomatoes, use less broth/milk to account for all the liquid from the tomatoes
